Budapest has become a Top List Destination

This year Budapest has become one of the stops among the most important tours in Europe according to the 2010 edition of the world's largest guide book publishers and tourist information service. In the "Grand Tour" of Lonely Planet besides London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Vienna, Berlin, Dubrovnik, Athens and Istambul readers are invited also to the Hungarian capital. Primarily the book calls attention to the lively café culture, to the special collection of new and old buildings, memories, to the Buda Castle and thermal baths.

According to the recent cultural research of BTH Budapest Tourist Non-profit Ltd. guide books pay the most important role among sources of information used during travel, followed by information offices and maps.
