There ideal running weather with sunshine on the 25th Anniversary Nike Budapest International Half Marathon brought a record number of participants! More than 6100 runners started on the half marathon distance! In addition there were 900 runners on the relay and 3500 participants on the 3,5 km fun run.
Overall 10 500 runners on the race day!
Besides the Hungarian participants there were 1200 foreign participants from more than 52 countries!
Laszlo Toth, a Hungarian athlete won the race with 1:04:38. The female winner Krisztina Papp finished with 1:13:13.
Also, a number of Hungarian celebrities participated on the race.
The next 26th Nike Budapest International Half Marathon expects runners on 4 September 2011!

Pacemakers on the 25th Nike International Half Marathon27 August
This year for the first time pacemakers will be helping runners on the course to achieve their time target. The pacemakers are trainers of the Nike Club. You can meet them from 8 o'clock on 5 September in front of the big tent of Nike. After 9:35 they will stand in the start zone. The pacemakers will have a sign showing their target time and they will also have balloons.
The target times:
- 1:45 - yellow balloon
Pace: even pace 4:58 - 4:59 min / km - 2:00 - red balloon
Pace: 5:38 - 5:44 min / km - 2:15 - blue balloon
Pace: 6:18 - 6:30 min / km
The distance of the Nike Half Marathon in Pairs has changed!24 August
The distance of the 25th Nike Budapest International Half Marathon in pairs has changed. The 21 km will be divided between the two runners as follows: the first runner will run 13,9 km and the second will run 7,2 km.

Along the course of the Nike Half Marathon 5 pianos will be set up playing classical music of Erkel, Mahler, Liszt. The pianos will be set up 100 metres from each other along Andrassy Road (which is part of the World Heritage) cheering runners with classical music, jazz and music of the 20th century.
There will be other music points set up along the course playing pop music to cheer the runners.

Budapest has become a Top List Destination 23 June
