Hungary’s largest running event for womenMore than 3100 runners registered to Hungary’s largest running event for women, the 16th Coca Cola Women Running Gala. Women who chose sports for this day could select from the following distances: 7,5 km run individually, in pairs, 3,5 km run or 2,8 km walking. The event took place on the Margaret Island, a famous recreational part of Budapest, also considered as the running paradise of the capital. The early summer day greeted the ladies with a very warm weather and sunshine followed by a refreshing rain shower short before the finish. Nevertheless, this could not stop the ladies from having a very good time. Next year the event will be organised on 20 May 2012!

The date of the 16. Coca Cola Women Run has changed to 5 June 2011!This year the distance will be 7.5 km and the race will be organised on Margaret Island. Come, register to the race and see our lovely capital!
The prestigious The New York Times presents in its weekend supplement the 41 places which should be visited during 2011. Budapest is mentioned twice in "The 41 places to go in 2011". The Hungarian capital is first being mentioned on the 11th place in reference with shipping on the Danube.
